Saying "Thank you"

Exhibitors selling their animal(s) at the Junior Fair livestock sales MUST send a “Thank you” note to the buyer(s).  This “Thank you” note is to be delivered to the Extension Office IN A STAMPED, SEALED AND COMPLETELY ADDRESSED ENVELOPE,  beginning the Monday after the Fair and NO LATER THAN ONE (1) WEEK AFTER THE SALES!

Checks for the sale of market animals will be sent to members only after a “Thank you” note is presented to the Extension office.    The list of 2006 livestock buyers is posted here in PDF format:  2006 LIVESTOCK BUYERS. (NOTE: If you do not have a PDF reader on your computer, you can obtain a free download of Adobe Acrobat Reader HERE.)  This will help you write your thank-you note, but the note itself must still be brought in to the Extension Office to be checked off before mailing.

Premium Payment

Junior Fair premiums, in the form of a check made out to each exhibitor, will be provided by the Wayne County Agricultural Society on all projects shown in a class (excluding showmanship).  Checks will be distributed to the organizational advisor, and must be forwarded to members as soon as possible.

Premiums will be paid no later than 30 days from the last day of the fair.  Anyone challenging his/her premium check must do so within 15 days after receipt. All premiums not drawn by the 30th of October of each year will be forfeited to the Wayne County Agricultural Society. This rule will be enforced to the letter.

Fair Clean-Up

All members with goat, sheep and swine projects must clean their pens on Thursday of the fair as soon as the animal is finished with the pen.  Take pride in your fair!

Removal of manure and pen take-down after fair is a big job!  Tuesday, September 18th, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. will be a post-fair work night.  All exhibitors (bring the entire club) should come and help clean up!  Bring pitch forks, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc.  Your help is very much needed and appreciated.
