UPCOMING EVENTS
Fun With Food Classes: Free cooking demonstration classes taught by Darcy Becker are offered twice each month at the main branch of the Wayne County Public Library.
Friday, August 14th at 10:00 Breakfast in a Flash. We'll go over the top ten reasons to eat breakfast and identify some quick and healthy food choices to make for this important meal. As always, there will be some cooking and some sampling of recipes. Join us!
Tuesday, August 25th at 1:30 Healthy Eating for Kids. Parents serve as important role models for their children in many ways, including eating habits. In this class we'll discuss ways to encourage your child to try new foods, appropriate serving sizes for children and give ideas for fun food activities with children. Recipes will be shared and tasted!
Pressure Canner Checking
Are you planning to preserve food for your family? Come have your questions answered and your pressure canner checked out. Bring the lid and dial gauge to one of the following locations:
Lehman's in Mt. Hope - August 12th from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Lehman's in Kidron - August 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Wooster Farmer's Market on the Square - July 11th & 25th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
