What is Dystocia? Dystocia means "difficult birth".
The Ohio State University Extension-Wayne County will be offering a dystocia management clinic at the Fisher Auditorium on the OSU CFAES-Wooster Campus.
The event is for all beef, dairy, goat, and sheep producers and will be a mixture of lecture presentations and hands-on practice in providing assisstance during a difficult birth.
Participants will learn about what happens during a normal birth; potential causes of problems during birth; how to correct mispresented fetuses; and management of newborns when problems arise.
Participants will also get to utilize a birthing simulator to practice correcting mispresented fetuses.
The program is free but we ask that you place a courtesy reservation by calling the OSU Extension office in Wayne County at 330-264-8722
