Pressure Canner Testing

Wayne County Extension staff will be offering pressure canner testing for dial gauge canners at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Testing will be offered from 3:00 - 6:00 PM on May 5, June 9, and July 7. There will be a fee of $5.00 for the testing. Click here to schedule your appointment.
Steps to Home Ownership Class

Ohio State University Extension in Wayne County and Wayne Metropolitan Housing Authority have been sponsoring Home Ownership classes for more than 20 years. During that time more than 500 families have participated in the program and approximately 200 have successfully become home owners. This program meets the requirements for the CHIP, Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership and USDA Rural Development programs. Class Topics Include:

BQA Certification

Apr. 07, 2021 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Due to the level of demand for BQA certification and recertification training, Wayne County Extension will be offering a class on April 7th at the United Producers, Creston Livestock Auction grounds. The 1.5 hr evening class will start at 6:00 PM. This training will satisfy the requirements for first time certificate holders as well as those needing a renewal. Steve Boyles, OSU Beef Extension Specialist, will be one of the presenters for the evening.
