  1. 2015 4-H Enrollment Deadline

    Apr. 01, 2015 4:30pm

    Please note that many 4-H club advisors set an earlier deadline to receive enrollments so they have time to go through them, alphabetize them, and prepare to submit them to the Extension Office by 4:30 pm on April 1st.  Youth and parents should contact their club advisor to find out when their club's deadline is.  Any enrollment received after April 1st is eligible for 4-H membership but is not eligible to participate in the 2015 Wayne County Jr. Fair.

  2. Water Quality and Testing Workshops

    Mar. 30, 2015 1:00pm to 4:00pm

    The Agricultural Water Quality and Testing Workshops for fruit and vegetable growers will be held in the afternoon of March 30 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  There is no charge for this workshop.  During the workshop presenters will discuss the currently proposed water quality and testing standards in the FSMA's Supplemental Rule in greater detail, the science behind water samples and how to read test results, and will provide  a hands-on demonstration focused on proper water sample collection performed by a local laboratory representative.

  3. Good Agricultural Practices Workshops

    Wayne County Extension is offering a Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for Vegetable and Fruit Growers workshop, along with an Agricultural Water Quality and Testing workshop, both through The Ohio State University Fruit and Vegetable Safety Program.  Both of the workshops will be held on Monday, March 30 at Fisher Auditorium on the OARDC campus in Wooster at 1680 Madison Avenue.

    Please support our Junior Leaders by dining to donate at Bob Evans during the week of March 23 – 27, 2015.  Simply show the flyer below (in print or on your phone) when you checkout and our 4-H Junior Leaders Club will earn 15% of your bill.  Junior Leaders is open to all Wayne County 4-H teens 13 and older.  The proceeds from this fundraiser will help support club activities, field trips, refreshments, and much more.  This special promotion is available at both Wooster Bob Evans locations and is good all day from 6 am – 10 pm on all dine-in and carryout orders.  Just be su
