Dairy Service Unit Banquet, Tree Fruit Workshop
Please join us for an evening of food and fellowship as we acknowledge the dairy industry of Wayne and Ashland Counties. The evening highlights include award presentations for dairy management, dairy production, scholarships, and Outstanding Dairy Youth. The banquet will conclude with a guest speaker and closing remarks.
The menu includes chicken and roast beef, potatoes, vegetables, and other sides. An ice cream sundae bar complete with homemade cookies and brownies will round off the meal.
The awards program this year will combine several award categories that were previously recognized separately for each Wayne and Ashland Counties. Many of the production award recipients will be announced via an on-screen presentation that will run in a loop during the initial social time. The dairy herd management award, as well as the Outstanding Dairy Youth and DSU scholarship award winners will be highlighted and formally recognized with live presentations at approximately 7:45 pm.
This year’s speakers will be Jason Hartschuh, OSU Extension – Field Specialist in Dairy Management and Precision Livestock and Scott Higgins, President, and CEO of American Dairy Association Mideast.
The cost for the evening is $10 per person. Children 5 and under are free. The Wayne-Ashland DSU covers remaining meal costs. Call in reservations to AlanMichael Ulrich (330-347-9565) or Susan Mykrantz (330-988-8114) as soon as possible.
