We invite you to join us for the 2026 Wayne County Junior Fair Livestock and Dairy Products Auctions. This experience helps our youth gain essential skills that will follow them through life. The auction is a great way to support our community's youth while also getting some fantastic publicity for your business!
Again this year- the auction will be operating two rings in the Wayne County Fair Event Center Wednesday only. This improvement was made to create better experience for our buyers and for the youth that have worked hard all year on their projects. It was a success last year and we have made some adjustments to save more time. The order for Ring 2 will be: Goats, Lambs, then Rabbits. Poultry will be sold in Ring 1.
On Wednesday, September 16, the sale kicks off with the Dairy Products Auction at the Coliseum at 9am. At 11am the sale will begin in the Event Center where the Livestock Auction will begin with Champion Goats in Ring 2; followed by Champion Poultry in Ring 1. It is especially important to spotlight the champion animals and buyers and thus we only sell one ring at a time for champions. After the champions sell, the auctioneers will sell both rings simultaneously. On Thursday, September 17, the sale will be back to one ring only for the sale of Swine followed by Beef, starting with champions once again.
Auction programs will be printed in advance so buyers can look ahead to see when different youth are selling. A coffee station and hospitality are provided for buyers both days as we appreciate so many local businesses and buyers dedicating full days to the auction. Lunch will be served on Thursday from 1pm-3pm for buyers. Buyers have the choice between those times when they would like to eat. The auctions will not pause for lunch as they have in the past.
