Wayne County Quality Assurance

If you plan to exhibit animals at the 2026 Wayne County Fair, you are required to complete one QA session.

• 2026 Quality Assurance Dates
  • April 7 - Quality Assurance Training Excludes: Dog and Horse
    • Location: Fisher Auditorium, Time: 6 - 7 PM
  • April 11 - Northwestern FFA Hammer Time Clinic 
    • Location: Coliseum, Wayne County Fairgrounds, TIME: Check in 9 - 10 AM, Program: 10 AM - Noon
    • Registration Required + fee
  • May 7 - Quality Assurance Training Excludes: Dog and Horse
    • Location: Fisher Auditorium, Time: 6 - 7 PM
  • May 14 - Dog ONLY Quality Assurance 
    • Sheep/Goat Arena at 6 PM
    • No livestock QA will be covered this night
  • June 2 - Quality Assurance Training Excludes: Dog and Horse
    • Location: Event Center, Wayne County Fairgrounds, Time: 6 - 7 PM
  • June 9 - Quality Assurance Training Excludes: Dog and Horse
    • Location: Event Center, Wayne County Fairgrounds, Time: 6 - 7 PM
  • July 21 - Last Chance QA 
    • Location: Fisher Auditorium, Times: 6 - 7 PM
    • Cost: $25
• ALL Horse exhibitors MUST complete the required Equistep Course on Carmen Canvas. Click here to be directed to the course.

Quality Assurance Requirements:

• All exhibitors MUST complete QA training(s) to exhibit at any Fair. 

• If an exhibitor is taking a horse and/or dog project IN ADDITION to a livestock project, they MUST complete BOTH required QA trainings. 

EXAMPLES:

• Exhibitor enrolled in Horse AND a Livestock projects - they MUST complete Equistep AND Livestock QA,

• Exhibitor enrolled in Dog AND a Livestock projects - they MUST complete Dog QA AND Livestock QA,

• Exhibitor enrolled in all 3 (Dog, Horse, and Livestock) projects - they MUST complete ALL three QA trainings. 

 

National YQCA Online Quality Assurance Option

Another option to complete Quality Assurance Training is available anytime at your convenience as long as you complete it on or before July 29, 2026, by going to the National YQCA website and completing their online modules, which costs around $15.

1. Once on the National YQCA website (click button above) - then click on login/register.

2. Login or register a new profile.

3. Complete the online modules.

4. Bring, mail, or email a copy of your Certificate of Completion to the OSU Extension Wayne County Office by July 29, 2026. 

• Note: QA training must be completed by July 29, 2026, to be eligible for the Wayne County Fair.

Wayne County Extension Last Chance QA Session

A last chance QA session will be held on July 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Fisher Auditorium (a fee will be charged). 

The Ohio State Fair Quality Assurance must be completed by June 1, 2026 

to participate in the Ohio State Fair.

 

Wayne County Quality Assurance must be completed by July 29, 2026 

to participate in the Wayne County Fair.
