Last year Wayne County 4-H awarded 11 college scholarships totaling $7,500. We are grateful for the donors that have contributed over the years to making our line up of scholarship funds possible. A brief description of each of the current Wayne County 4-H Scholarships is listed below. Graduating Seniors and recent 4-H alums are invited to apply for the Wayne County 4-H Scholarships listed below. Applications are due June 1st. Wayne County 4-H Scholarships
General 4-H Scholarship
Applicants must be current or former Wayne County 4-H members planning to further their education. Scholarship may be used at any post high school institution, except graduate school. Dollar amount of scholarship(s) awarded varies annually. The General 4-H Scholarship is an endowed fund at the Wayne County Community Foundation. Doyle Findley Memorial Scholarship
Applicants must be current or former 4-H or FFA members who have carried a livestock project. Scholarship may be used at any post high school institution except graduate school. This scholarship is in memory of former Wayne County 4-H Extension Agent Doyle Findley. Dollar amount of scholarship(s) awarded varies annually. Baking Contest Auction Scholarship
Applicants must be current or past 4-H members planning to further their education. Scholarship may be used at any post high school institution, except graduate school. Amount of scholarship(s) awarded varies annually.
Dianne Hange Scholarship
Applicants must be current or past 4-H members and should have strong 4-H leadership and community service background. Scholarship may be used at any post high school institution except graduate school. Amount of Scholarship $500.
Wayne County 4-H/FFA Beef Committee Scholarship
Applicants must be a current or past 4-H or FFA member and must have shown beef projects for 5 or more years. Scholarship may be used at any post high school institution except graduate school. Amount of Scholarship $1,000. The scholarship will not be awarded if the applicants do not meet the minimum requirements.
Wayne County 4-H/FFA Dairy Committee Scholarship
Applicants must be a current or past 4-H or FFA member and enrolled in a two year or four year program of study. Applicants should have a strong 4-H dairy background. Amount and number of scholarship(s) varies annually.
Pat Kanehl Memorial Scholarship
Applicants must be current or past 4-H members and should have strong 4-H leadership and equine background. Scholarship may be used at any post high school institution, except graduate school. Amount of scholarship(s) awarded varies annually.
