The Ohio Department of Health is now requiring all food service facilities licensed at a 'Risk Level 2 or higher' to have at least one staff person who has completed an ODH approved Level 2 Food Safety training. This requirement is to be met by March 2017.
Wayne County now has an option available to assist food service facilities to meet this obligation.
OSU Extension has partnered with TAP (Training Achievement Program) Series to offer an online course which meets all Ohio Department of Health requirements. You can schedule your exam date and then complete the online course at your own speed (generally 2-4 weeks). Enrollment fee is $150 per person and covers online training and the ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification exam. Contact Sara Meeks, at the OSU Extension Wayne County for more information.
